Springing and Summering

Spring has sprung in the Colestin and summer isn’t far behind. The wildflowers are blooming, the oaks have leafed out, the gnats have hatched, and the meadow is green and fragrant. The flowers are amazing this year; we’ve never seen so many lilies. If I get time this weekend, I will cage a couple of them in hopes of protecting them from the deer. Apparently, lilies are to deer as catnip is to cats. Live and learn.

As a result of the ongoing discussion about Colestin Rules of the Road, I’ve decided to deputize each and every person who crosses the property line. You will all be charged with policing the camp for code violations. And what, may you ask, is the code? It can be summed up in two words: HAVE FUN. Those who are not having fun will be busted by the Fun Police. I’m taking suggestions for sentencing guidelines.

Hamfist got our “picture struck” this week. The new photos are posted at www.hamfist.net

One month campers; but who's counting? Oh yeah - I am.
